It is necessary to be permitted to do work to the exterior of your home including but not limited to, repainting, re-roofing, residing, replacing windows, doors, cobblestone apron, edging, fence installation or replacement, tree removal, pool and landscape, retaining walls, shed, decks, additions, modifications etc. If you have any doubt, please feel free to call ARC Administrative Assistant to assist you.

The simple answer is YES. If you look in the bylaws, you will see that any improvements to your property must have the approval of the ARC.

The ARC, sometimes referred to as the Committee, is a part of the Peninsula Council and is in place to ensure consistency of aesthetics across all of New Seabury.

The Committee is well defined in the Village Declarations, which are attached to and filed with your deed in the Registry of Deeds. It is further defined in the various Master Declarations if your property is subject to them. Most planned communities have such organizations, which are set up to protect and improve home values. The ARC has been a part of the Peninsula Council since 2003, when the developer assigned the responsibilities to us so that it now is the homeowners association monitoring it’s homeowners.

The ARC has office hours Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..

Call the ARC Administrator, who can help the homeowners, builders and architects with their questions during those hours.

If necessary, The ARC Administrator Assistant will schedule a site visit, meeting, etc.

The ARC is a team of four individuals. Jim Kiley is the Administrator.

The Administrator Assistant talks with homeowners each and every day and is there to help all homeowners with the permitting process.

Steve Cook, is the Building Designer and he has lived in the New Seabury area for many years.

Brad Sweet is a former ARC manager and brings many years of experience.

The ARC responsibilities that were assigned to the Peninsula Council excluded any responsibilities over building done by the current developer, New Seabury Properties. The developer does inform the ARC of their plans and the ARC comments and makes suggestions so there will be consistency across the community.
